2016 Special Guest Speaker: Al Jarand

Alan J. Jarand served as director of radio for the Illinois Farm Bureau from April 1979 until retirement in April of 2015. Alan continues to hosts the one-hour talk show, RFD Today.

As director of radio, Alan was responsible for the management and administration of the RFD Radio Network. He also was responsible for maintaining affiliate relations with over 70 radio stations throughout Illinois. He remains one of the radio voices for the network and does public speaking.

Alan is a native of Moultrie County and a graduate of Eastern Illinois University. He is a member of National Association of Farm Broadcasters, Radio-TV News Directors Association, and Illinois News Broadcasters Association.

He and his wife, Marjorie, live in Normal, IL.

Tim, the Hitman Tim, the Hitman, will perform country and western music on Saturday night, including a tribute to veterans.
